Dress, Top & Cropped Leggings

Below the knee ruffle dress or top with leggings is perfect for the playground or a birthday party. Rows of ruffles along the bodice and pockets create an adorable and hip look while remaining easy to get on and off with elastic ruffle straps. The close fitting cropped leggings can be worn with either the dress or top. Optional gathered ties along the sides allows for a custom fit and look while remaining easy to wear and maintain. Layer with a long sleeved shirt and this outfit can we born year round.

Bunbury Fabrics is a family-owned and operated online quilt shop run by my husband and me. Located in Southern California since 2009, we created this space for those who dream of fabrics, patterns, and the joy of making beautiful things. Think of us as your friendly local quilt shop, but online. Our carefully curated collection of designer fabrics, notions, and patterns has been handpicked by a fellow sewing enthusiast who shares your passion for creating.

Our journey began as Fashionable Fabrics, and we’ve grown over the years thanks to the wonderful support of loyal customers like you. Inspired by the vibrant, creative spirit of our community, we eventually renamed our store Bunbury. The name comes from Oscar Wilde’s 1895 play The Importance of Being Earnest, where the lead character invents a friend named Bunbury to escape obligations. After all, who wouldn’t rather be sewing?

Our Story

Sewing and fabrics have always been close to my heart. As a young girl, I cherished the quilts, crocheted afghans, and dresses my grandmother and mother lovingly made for me—handmade treasures that hold immense value because of the love and care that went into them.

This connection to sewing became even more profound when our first child, Ellie, was born prematurely at just 24 weeks. Although her time with us was heartbreakingly brief, the hospital gave us a handmade dress, hat, and blanket for her—a simple but incredibly touching gesture that touched my husband and me deeply. Since then, sewing has taken on a deeper meaning for me. What started as a form of therapy has become a love language. I find joy in creating handmade gifts, especially for those who need a little extra comfort.

Building Bunbury with my husband—my high school sweetheart and partner in everything—has been a dream come true. It allows me to share my passion for sewing with a community of makers who understand the joy of creating something meaningful with their hands.
