Kit with all the pre-cut, pre-fused applique pieces and the Kimberbell Happy Birthday! pattern (KD186), for a bench pillow approximately 16" x 38". Includes 50 extra letters for spelling out interchangeable names on the banner.

A layered birthday cake with candles on a cake stand, "Happy Birthday!" lettering and a pennant banner for the birthday name, with a scalloped inner border. The applique pieces are cut from cotton prints with Heat 'n Bond Lite fusible already on the back: peel off the paper, iron and sew. Made for the original sewing pattern by Kimberbell, not the embroidery version. Background, borders and binding are not included.

Fabric 1, background: 1/2 yard (white)
Fabric 2, scalloped inner border: 1 fat quarter (turquoise)
Fabric 3, outer border: 1 fat quarter (black/white dot)
Fabric 4, backing: 1/2 yard
Other: lightweight fusible web, 1 yard mini pom pom trim for the banner, a variety of felt squares for the banner, mini clothespins for the interchangeable letters
Optional trims: medium rick rack or ruffled ribbon, 1/4 yard each
To quilt the pillow front: 2/3 yard muslin and 2/3 yard thin batting
Pillow form: 1 yard muslin and polyester stuffing
