We are introducing Organic Cotton Fabric to our shop. We are excited to offer high quality organic fabric at an affordable price. All organics are $9.50 a yard, compared to $16.00 a yard retail. Currently, we have three Collections in organic cotton, Petite Fleur by Carolyn Gavin for Windham, Havana by Monaluna, and novelty prints by Timeless Treasures.

Organic cotton is grown and processed without pesticides or chemicals. Which makes it better for you and the environment!

Art Gallery and Handbags a match made in Heaven!

Patricia Bravo is one of my favorite designers and her fabric is of the highest quality. Art Gallery fabrics feel like silk and have vibrant beautiful colors. Take a look at some of the fantastic collections available at Fashionable Fabrics.


Art Gallery fabrics are so versatile, from home decor to apparel to my favorite... handbags! Patricia Bravo has a wonderful gallery for inspiration on her website.

Style Stitches is another amazing book by Amy Butler. It includes 12 patterns and instruction to make 26 different bags. This book is a spiral bound hardcover book with gorgeous color photos. This book explodes with inspiration! Patricia Bravo fabrics and Amy Butler's Sewing Patterns make a perfect pair!


Here are a few more patterns paired with some Art Gallery Fabrics to help get you started on the endless beautiful possibilities.

If that's not enough! Abby Lane Quilts has released a paperback book, Blooming Possibilities, with color photos and templates to make bags, totes, clutches, hats and flowers.

New fabric by Jennifer Young just arrived this week at Fashionable Fabrics

Introducing Arianna in blue and Khaki


The Arianna prints would make beautiful bags and apparel. Arianna in Khaki would look nice as a Birdie Sling by Amy Butler. Pair the Arianna Khaki prints with Amy Butlers Happy Dots, Free Spirits Cream Designer Solid, or Free Spirit Rose Designer Solid.



Easy Curves Dress, Top, Leggings, & Doll Dress Pattern by Olive Ann Designs would look adorable with the Arianna prints in Blue. Pair the Arianna blues with Free Spirit Rose Designer Solid or Studio E Gabriella Filigree in pink or Love Bird Dots in green by Riley Blake Designs.

July 2010 Newsletter

It looks like Christmas here at Fashionable Fabrics. We have three new Christmas collections in stock so, we are having a Christmas in July Sale! All Christmas fabric is on sale for $7.50 a yard until July 31, 2010.

Halloween is fast approaching and we have some fabulous Halloween prints by Riley Blake Designs and Alexander Henry Fabrics.

The Holidays will be here before we know it! I prefer to live in the moment and enjoy the summer months. The Voile fabric is perfect to make light airy apparel for hot summer days. I can't wait to make the Summer Time Top by Favorite Things with this lovely fabric.



Another great collection worth mentioning is Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket. This retro inspired collection would make adorable aprons and accessories for the kitchen or even a cute sundress.



Check out the adorable new sewing patterns by Retro Mae a perfect pattern to use with the Early Bird Collection.

June 2010 Newsletter

We received several new collections. My favorite is Tufted Tweets by Laurie Wishbrun for Robert Kaufman Fabrics. This collection is so whimsical and I love the color scheme.



We are happy to announce a new designer to our site, Ellen Medlock and her debut collection Enchanted Damask.(see below to enter to win a ½ yard bundle of this collection)



Valorie Wells new collection, Nest is also available. This collection boasts large prints of birds and dahlia blooms.



Weekends by Erin McMorris is a sweet collection of prints perfect of apparel, bags, or décor projects. My personal favorite is 'Go by Bike'.


Speaking of projects many new sewing patterns have been added to our selection.



A very popular collection that has been reordered twice already is Ghastlies by Alexander Henry Fabrics. This Halloween collection is going to make the most fabulous Halloween projects!.



Many other new cotton novelty prints from Timeless Treasures, Michael Miller, Windham Fabrics, and Alexander Henry have been added to our selection.

Mother's Day 2010 Giveaway

Happy Mother's Day!

We have been hard at work building our Blog, updating , and setting up our Facebook page. To kick things off we are starting our first free Giveaway of a fat quarter bundle from Bird Talk. There are two ways to enter this giveway, follow our Facebook Page (just click the Like button when viewing our facebook page) or , or do both for a double entry. The winner will be selected from our list of followers at random on Mother's Day (May 9th) and will be announced in our next newsletter.
